NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Driver Marcos Ambrose Joins Team At Blundstone Safety Boots
HOBART, Australia--Two Australian imports have teamed up in America. NASCAR driver Marcos Ambrose, one of American motorsport’s rising stars, and Blundstone Australia, have signed a marketing and promotion agreement for the balance of the NASCAR Sprint Cup 2010 season, both camps announced today.

In only his second full season in top tier NASCAR, Ambrose has recorded five top-five and eight top-10 finishes. Ambrose also owns a pair of wins in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Watkins Glen International.

“As part of the agreement, I will feature Blundstone logo branding on my helmet and the Blundstone Steel-Toed Safety Boots are now the official boot of our team, JTG Daugherty Racing,�?? explained Marcos.
Blundstone has the right to Marcos’ and his team’s image and likeness, car, uniform, car number and signature for Blundstone’s general promotion and marketing purposes in the United States.
Ambrose, who drives Toyota No. 47 Toyota Camry started fourth on the grid just two weeks ago in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Phoenix International Raceway. Ambrose continued, “To me, Blundstone represents strength, quality and staying power as witnessed by the company celebrating its 140th anniversary this year. Not many companies in the world can say they have achieved that.’
Ambrose is the first Australian to complete a full top tier NASCAR championship season. He is also one of two non-US citizens to win a NASCAR race, sharing that honor with former Formula One driver, Columbian Juan Pablo Montoya.
