Richmond History: McMurray has fourteen previous NSCS starts at Richmond

Restrictor-Plate Review: Jamie McMurray led for 27 laps during the
Aaron's 499 including which included three green-white-checkered
attempts. On the final restart McMurray was pushed away from the field
by Kevin Harvick, who would make a late attempt coming through the
tri-oval to pass the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Boats Chevrolet.
McMurray finished second just .011 seconds behind Harvick. This was the
closest finish in Talladega history. The top-five finish advanced
McMurray four positions in the point standings to 17th, only 84 points
from the top-12.
