Volkswagen Motorsport News - Home State Racer Ryan Ellis Takes the Checkered Flag at First Race of 2010 Jetta TDI Cup Season

Happy race weekend! I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you the results of the first race of the 2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup season. Ryan Ellis, a second year driver from Ashburn, VA, took the checkered flag today at the Virginia International Raceway (VIR). Ellis and fellow driver Juan Pablo Sierra Lendle were neck and neck throughout the race, but Ellis was able to pass him in the late stages of the race. Several Jetta TDI Cup rookie drivers placed in the top ten as well today.
