Cody coming on

Fresh off a championship-winning  season in his JEGS.com .25 Midget, 
14-year-old third-generation racer Cody  Coughlin already is working towards a 
future in a Stock Car. Under the guidance  of oval track veterans Gary St. 
Amant and Clay Filson, Coughlin recently climbed  behind the wheel of a 
JEGS.com-branded ASA Late Model Stock Car and made several  circuits around Columbus 
Motor Speedway.

By all accounts, the son of drag  racing titlist John Coughlin and grandson 
of NHRA legend Jeg Coughlin Sr. looked  very sharp in the high-horsepower 
Impala SS.

"For his first laps around  Columbus I think he did a heckuva job," John 
said. 

Cody will continue  testing with hopes of joining the ASA North Series 
later this season.
