ZAP Introducing Electric Taxi at Beijing Motor Show - VIDEO ENHANCED

BEIJING - April 20, 2010: ZAP, a U.S. electric vehicle pioneer, is hosting a press conference on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 2 PM to introduce its design and engineering expertise to the Chinese media as well as outline production plans to bring all-electric vehicles to the Chinese market. ZAP will exhibit two EVs at the Beijing Motor Show, the ZAP Taxi targeting fleets and the innovative Alias prototype sports car.

The "ZAP Taxi" is built in conjunction with the Zhejiang Jonway Automobile Company. The vehicle is based on the Jonway A380 SUV, and uses ZAP's electric motors. The vehicles will be capable of running at normal speeds.
