Skoda Makes Strategic Appointment in the North
MILTON KEYNES , UNITED KINGDOM – April 20, 2010: Skoda UK welcomes James Horne to the position of Fleet Sales Manager for Scotland and the North of England.
In his new role, James will cover fleet sales for Škoda UK in North Manchester, Carlisle and Northeast England, incorporating Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Durham, as well as the whole of Scotland.
James, 29, has five years’ experience in the fleet arena and has been working in sales for over 12 years. Having previously worked for contract hire company Arval, he has an excellent understanding of the automotive industry. In addition to travelling in excess of 1,200 miles a week to meet and nurture client relationships, James’ main day-to-day objective is to discuss the benefits of choosing Škoda models for fleet with prospective customers.
Commenting on his new appointment, James said: “I join Škoda at a very exciting time, following the launch of new Superb Estate and the launch of the Fabia vRS this summer. The product offering for fleet is exceptional and I am finding that public service authorities are particularly keen on the Octavia for their rapid response services – situations in which they need reliable and fuel efficient transportation.
“My main challenge is to win over user-choosers about the benefits of Škoda, and I am confident that, once consumers have test driven a Škoda for themselves, they will never look back.
“Škoda has given me an excellent insight into how the company operates and within my first week of starting I was driving the new Skoda Superb Estate at the fleet launch.”
Rob English, National Fleet Sales Manager, added: “With his enthusiasm, industry expertise and area knowledge, James is an ideal addition to the Škoda team. We wish him every success in his new role.”
A motorcycle enthusiast and avid adventurer, James is also learning to snowboard.
