BorgWarner Presents Drivetrain and Engine Expertise at 2010 SAE World Congress

BorgWarner's Latest Advancements Featured at 'Innovators Only' Exhibition and Ride and Drive Event

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 13 -- BorgWarner will feature its drivetrain and engine expertise at various events during the 2010 SAE World Congress held in Detroit, Michigan, on April 13-15.

-- At the new and exclusive "Innovator's Only" Exhibition, BorgWarner
will display its latest technologies including the eGearDrive(TM)
transmission, a purpose-built transmission for hybrid and electric
      vehicle applications at booth #730.
-- During the Ride and Drive event, attendees will have the opportunity
to experience BorgWarner's leading technologies behind the wheel of an
Audi A3 TDI, the 2010 Green Car of the Year. The vehicle features
BorgWarner's variable turbine geometry (VTG) turbochargers for
powerful performance and reduced emissions, pressure sensor glow plugs
and control modules to precisely control the combustion process in the
engine, and DualTronic® control and dual-clutch modules for quick,
seamless shifts without the "torque-interrupt" feeling of a manual or
      automated manual.
-- Panel discussions and technical presentations by BorgWarner engineers
and program managers will be offered throughout the congress. A
      complete list follows this release.

"The automotive industry faces a number of challenges, from achieving aggressive fuel economy and emissions targets in the near term to successfully marketing new powertrain solutions in the long term," said Tim Manganello, Chairman and CEO, BorgWarner. "At BorgWarner, we are developing a broad range of technologies to address all of these challenges and propel the auto industry into the future."
