*Milwaukee, Wis. (April 7, 2010)* - The Racing Round Up Show, a popular
weekly motorsports radio program based in the Milwaukee area, begins its
26th consecutive season this Monday night, April 12th.
National motorsports including NASCAR, and the Wisconsin racing scene, will
be covered and discussed on Monday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.,
through September, on The Racing Round Up Show.
Unique in its format, the well-established program focuses on interviews
with a variety of local racers who gain exposure for their efforts and their
sponsors. Covering and promoting area race tracks and touring series, as
well as timely and topical insider reports, have been a mainstay for a
quarter century on the highly-regarded show. The list of the hundreds of
past show guests has ranged from Mario Andretti to five year-old kart
racers, and every category of racer in between.
Originating once again from Paulie’s Pub & Eatery at 8031 W. Greenfield Ave.
in West Allis, The Racing Round Up Show is produced before a live audience
and is broadcast live on the powerful 540 ESPN (WAUK-AM) signal, which
reaches central and northern Wisconsin and well into northern Illinois. The
program will also be webcast live online at www.racingroundup.net.
Admission is free and families are welcome to join the racing crowd for
every fast-paced and entertaining program, which includes audience giveaways
each week.
Leading the well-informed on-air crew is executive producer and host *Jim
Tretow*, a motorsports broadcast veteran who brings over two decades of
experience in live event radio and television work, both locally and
nationally. Among the key contributors are racers *Jeff Wesell*, who
presents his weekly Open Wheel report with passion, and *Dave Hohensee*, who
shares his insights as a competitor and race director in his Drag Racing
report.
The Racing Round Up Show continues to be the only outlet in the area for all
local racers to shine, and remains a gathering place and destination for
motorsports enthusiasts to meet fellow racers and mingle with race fans.
The show is locally-produced by Racing Round Up Broadcasting, which is
solely responsible for its content. Information regarding sponsorship
availability and for racers to request interview opportunities on The Racing
Round Up Show can be found by visiting the show’s website,
