MOORESVILLE, April 3, 2010: JR Motorsports has named Landon Cassill the driver of its No. 7 Chevrolets for four consecutive NASCAR Nationwide Series races starting next week at Phoenix International Raceway, general manager Kelley Earnhardt announced on Friday.

Cassill will drive a GoDaddy.com-sponsored Chevrolet in the Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 at PIR, which is the home track to GoDaddy.com headquarters in nearby Scottsdale, Ariz. Sponsorship for Cassill’s ensuing three races at Texas Motor Speedway (April 17), Talladega Superspeedway (April 24), and Richmond International Raceway (April 30) is still to be determined.

Cassill drove for JR Motorsports in 2008, winning the Raybestos Rookie-of-the-Year Award in the Nationwide Series despite competing in a limited number of races. In 19 starts in 2008 – 16 for JR Motorsports – Cassill scored five top-five finishes and a pole award at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

“Landon is a familiar face at JR Motorsports, and it is with great pleasure that we welcome him back to drive our No. 7 Chevrolets these next few weeks,” Kelley Earnhardt said. “We are committed to keeping this No. 7 team racing as long as possible, because with Tony Eury Jr. and an extremely dedicated group of employees, this team is too good to not be at the race track. We are fortunate to have GoDaddy.com on board at Phoenix. I know it’s a big deal to have GoDaddy.com represented there, because the Valley is home to Bob Parsons and the GoDaddy.com team. They are great partners.”

GoDaddy.com is already part of a 10-race primary sponsorship package with the No. 7 team and Danica Patrick this year. Patrick competed in the first three races – Daytona (Feb. 13), Fontana (Feb. 20) and Las Vegas (Feb. 27) – before returning to full-time competition in the Izod IndyCar Series. Scott Wimmer took over driving duties of the No. 7 Chevy at Bristol Motor Speedway, leading 21 laps and scoring a season-best 10th-place finish on March 20. Wimmer will complete his two-race commitment in the No. 7 Lifetime Army Wives Chevrolet this Saturday at Nashville Superspeedway (3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN). Patrick will return for 10 more races later this year.
