ASA Member Track and Series across the United States give a great reason to where that entertainment dollar should be spent by providing a unique variety of racing action each week for the entire family. The numerous ASA Member Tracks and sanctioned series in the United States provide that variety each week during the racing season. That variety includes not just one division of racing but many different divisions, each unique with their look, rules and how they compete on the track. Many will offer from three to up to seven different divisions on one night. What makes this so appetizing to each person's entertainment dollar is the admission price will range from $8-$15 for an adult admission with an average of 2.5 to 3 hours of live entertaining fun. For example, Desoto Super Speedway, a half-mile asphalt oval ASA Member Track in Bradenton, FL, offers around six to seven divisions as part of their weekly Saturday night program. They will offer a variety of divisions that could include late models, open wheel modifieds, 4-cylinders, street stocks, and even school buses. All for a total of $15 for adults, $5.00 for ages 6-12 and 5 and under for free. Another ASA Member Track, Grays Harbor Raceway which has a 3/8-mile high banked clay oval in Elma, WA offers a weekly Saturday night program that could include sprints, modifieds, hobby stocks, midgets and hornets. But one unique ticket pricing they offer is a family package of $30 which is good for up to two adults and four children (ages 6-14). Some tracks have already recognized that the economy has hit some pocketbooks and have gone out of their way to help with that. Last year and this year, many have stabilized their admission prices and some have lowered their prices as well. On the competitive side, with tracks and some series offering a variety of divisions, there is also a great opportunity for someone who has wanted to compete at a track to do so. The variety of divisions fall in different price ranges to where someone could find the right division within their budget to race and have fun. Many of these divisions are as affordable as taking up any interested hobby. "The key is variety and our ASA Member Tracks and sanctioned series offer that from both the fan and competitor side," Dennis Huth, ASA President said. "Our promoters work very hard to provide great entertainment for our fans at each event. Many have made some great improvements to their facilities during the off-season to make the experience more memorable in 2010. They also offer a great variety of divisions to where anyone who wants to compete at a weekly track has that opportunity by finding a division within their budget. Short track racing is all about excitement, fun, entertainment, family and opportunity."
