TOYOTA SPEEDWAY - WEEK 2

“Second NASCAR Opening Night” For Toyota Speedway
AUTO CLUB LATE MODELS HEAD HOT SHOW APRIL 3

Irwindale, Calif. - - Celebrating the beginning of it’s twelfth year in the business of providing high-quality, high-excitement motorsports entertainment Toyota Speedway at Irwindale has become the textbook example of a NASCAR HOME TRACK…

And … this Saturday, April 3 is FAMILY NIGHT at the Speedway … Young persons 15 and under are in Free for a night of six different racing events including the first rock-em/sock-em DEMOLITION DERBY of the 2010 season. Add to that the Super Stocks, Classic Stocks, Mini-Stocks, (take a quick breath) Super Trucks and those sleek Auto Club Late Models.

“Traditionally we run the Auto Club Late Models and the Super Late Models both on the first night of the season, but this year we felt that the Late Models deserved an ‘Opening Night’ all their own,” said track VP Bob De Fazio. “This division has always been one of our strongest and has never put on a poor show in the eleven years that we’ve been running them,” De Fazio went on. “We’re all looking forward to Saturday night and our twelfth season of this exciting NASCAR division.”

And … even though it’s FREE, if you don’t get the kids out to Toyota Speedway early enough to join all of the drivers, their crews, and their cool race cars at the King Taco On-Track Autograph Session… You are just not getting your money’s worth. Every car, every driver, all of the hardworking crewpeople are there. And there are autographs, photos, goodies and a in-person view of the track from the unique perspective of the racers is always part of the experience.

Gates open at 4p.m., the King Taco On-Track Autograph Session starts a 5:45p.m. and the first race fires off at 7 right on the dot! And, how about this: Adults pay the same price for a night of NASCAR that they did way back in 1999 … $15 bucks, and Seniors are only $12.

… Don’t forget to check out the Speedway’s website for a view of the last week’s action and the latest points updates …

NASCAR Calls Them: “HOME TRACKS”
and Toyota Speedway is Now “Home” For Millions

This is the place where family fans and family race teams can truly feel part of the action and THE place for weekly NASCAR racing just about every Saturday night from late March through early October.

Irwindale Location Serves NASCAR Fans…
From the Border to Beyond the Grapevine

When Toyota Speedway opened its gates to the public for the 2010 season last Saturday night March 27 it was precisely 12 years to the day “LA’s Half-Mile Superspeedway” opened its for its first race in 1999. The bad news is that in those 12 years southern California suffered an unfortunate net loss of NASCAR weekly racing facilities. But the good news for area fans and racers is that Toyota Speedway continues to light up Saturday nights with the all of the great action and excitement that they had enjoyed at their now shuttered home tracks in the San Diego and Bakersfield area.

Located just a few miles East of downtown Los Angeles, with three freeways leading almost to its front door, Toyota Speedway at Irwindale will host over 90 individual NASCAR races during the 2010 season. And that encompasses eight different racing divisions ranging from the low-budget/high-fun Classic Stocks to the next-step-up-to-the-big-time K&N Pro series events where something like half the field are certified “stars of tomorrow”.

HOME TRACK? Sure! A home track that’s seen well over a million enthusiastic NASCAR fans visit since it opened. A home track that has an “Alumni Association” of top pro drivers that already rivals many tracks which have been in existence for twice as long or more. A home track that’s only about 25 miles from Hollywood and that’s on the direct route to Daytona.

… Home really is where the heart is, and the heart of NASCAR is deeply rooted in its weekly racetracks like the pride of the southland: Toyota Speedway at Irwindale.
