Santa Pod Raceway Presents the Easter Thunderball, Cracking Good Fun!

WELLINGBOROUGH, England, March 31, 2010 -- Santa Pod Raceway, the home of European Drag racing, has provided the perfect solution to entertaining yourself - and the whole family for the entire Easter weekend; the Easter Thunderball!

From 2nd to the 5th of April 2010, Santa Pod will rock the surrounding Northamptonshire countryside with an unashamed spectacle of incredible racing, stunt shows and the best of Europe's entertainers - including none other than Peter Andre!

This is the only 'Nitro Shoot-out' in Europe! So, if your idea of fun is watching an 8,000 horsepower car hitting 300mph in just 5 seconds, then this is the place for you. The entire weekend is packed with top-level racing including the multi-thousand horsepower Top Fuel cars, MSA pro mods and Drag bikes. If that doesn't make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, then witnessing the sight of two jet cars travelling at Mach 1 or Podzilla, Santa Pod's very own Monster Truck, might just do it for you!

It's not all high-octane madness however, with much of the content of the Easter Thunderball being squarely aimed at families. Not only do kids under 16 get in free but the weekend line up includes a magnificent Firework display and even Titan, the 8 foot robot who walks amongst the crowd, amazing kids in equal measure. Stop by the static display of famous cars from "the movies" and see the new Land Speed Record "Bloodhound" car. Plus there's a funfair, traders, kids entertainments and mini quad rides, meaning whatever the weather does, there's plenty for the whole family to do.

But the headline stealer, without doubt, is Peter Andre - stopping by on the very last day of his tour (the 5th) to perform hits from his latest album, 'Revelation'. With tickets for his stadium dates all but sold out, this could be the perfect last chance to see him sing live this year.
