New National Demolition Derby Tour Launched; DD Entertainment, Inc. Announces Demolition Cup Series

Derby Icons, Derby Madness, Lunatic Promotions, Stirrin' Dirt Racing, Ultimate Demo Promotions, WGAS and Wild Thing Promotions Sign Up Their Derbies for New Series

SAN DIEGO, March 30 -- DD Entertainment, Inc. (DDE) today announced the launch of a new national demolition derby tour called the Demolition Cup Series devoted to showcasing the performances of demolition derby drivers across the United States and culminating in a season end final crash off where the Demolition Cup Champion will be determined.

DDE has entered into partnerships with seven of the most experienced demolition derby promoters in the US who have agreed to include derbies organized by them in the Series. The seven promoters are Derby Icons, Derby Madness, Lunatic Promotions, Stirrin' Dirt Racing, Ultimate Demo Promotions, WGAS and Wild Thing Promotions.

The Demolition Cup Series will include a schedule of more than 35 demolition derbies across the USA, 5 regional finals and season finale Demolition Cup Final. Drivers will also compete in the Demolition Cup National Points System with points awarded at each derby. Qualifications for finals will be based on the points system and top placement at qualifier events. Drivers will compete for more than $300,000 in cash in prizes across the Series.

"We are excited to be launching a new demolition derby tour and partnering with a fine group of experienced promoters across the country," said Thomas Hipkins, CEO of DDE. "These seven promoters are visionaries of their sport and have recognized that in order to take the sport of demolition derby to the next level they need to come together to form a national tour that will elevate visibility for the sport and provide a better commercial platform to attract sponsors and advertisers."

The top drivers in the country will be competing in the new series. Among the many competing are: Shay "Porn Star" Walden of Cogswell, ND, Andy "The Show" Hanson of Clearwater, MN, Greg King of Worthing, SD, Joel Harris of Missouri Valley, IA, Josh Turner of Geneva, NE, Wes and Bobby Whitaker of Earlville, IL, Jay "Pretty Boy" Anderson of Minnesota, Russ Fleetwood of Wyoming and Frank Dickman of Idaho.

DDE plans to produce a television series covering the tour that will air on national cable television and will deploy state of the art multi platform distribution to bring demolition derby to a wider audience.

"The support of our seven promoters confirms that the demolition derby community believes in our vision for the TV series and the DEI objective to deliver the stories behind derbying and the action of the Demolition Cup to U.S.A. viewers across multiple platforms," said Josh Lennox, COO and co-founder of DDE. "DDE will deliver the most exciting behind the scene stories and the best derby crash action from across the country, showcasing the pinnacle of derby competitions."

The details regarding the television series and distribution plans will be made in a separate announcement at a later date. With these strategic partnerships with the seven promoters and the television and media coverage planned for the new tour, DDE is bringing to audiences across the USA a new and exciting competition that Americans have been exposed to in a limited fashion over the past 50 years.

About Demolition Derbies

Demolition Derbies were first held over 50 years ago and have been aired occasionally on national TV. ABC aired the Demolition Derby World Championships from the mid-1960s until 1972. In 1976, "Happy Days" featured a storyline about Fonzie's involvement in demolition derbies. Commercial and home development in the 1980s claimed many aging racetracks, and the derbies with them. Demolition derbies found a new home during the 1990s at state and county fairs. To this day, tickets sell out at these competitions. From the heartland of America comes the toughest sport on four wheels, Demolition Derby. Forged in the 1950s, this homegrown battle has existed, waiting to re-establish itself as one of the most exciting shows around. Welcome to the Demolition Cup.
