Jeep Islander Contestants To Dig in Sand
AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — Jeep fans are proud of their adventurous reputation, so a contest that involves digging in a giant sandbox should be to their taste. Jeep's Tiki Hunt event will take place on April 1 and will be shown live on the Internet via Webcast.
Five contestants who were selected by a trivia contest on Twitter will be digging in the sandbox outside the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City on Thursday. They will be seeking to be the first to locate a "golden Jeep Tiki" hidden inside and win a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Islander.
Jeep Brand President and CEO Michael Manley will be on hand to "preside over the event," the automaker said. The contest and live Webcast start at 7 a.m. EDT.
The Webcast will be provided on Facebook and Twitter.
