VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA – March 29, 2010: The second place recorded by Renault F1 Team driver Robert Kubica in the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, comes at a good time for Renault Australia.

Just a few days ago Renault launched the Clio Renault Sport 200 Cup with many design features, such as the rear diffuser, drawn from F1 technology.

Kubica’s second placing underlines the technological value of F1 design developments being used on road going vehicles.

Renault’s Director of Sales and Dealer Network, Shane Dunemann said, “Robert Kubica’s strong performance had a twofold effect: it showed how important motorsport developments can be to cars the public can buy, and it also gave our dealers a valuable selling tool with the newly released Clio Renault Sport 200 Cup.”

The Clio Renault Sport has many features drawn from motorsport developments.

The cars aerodynamics are a direct result of advances made in Renault’s Formula 1 wind tunnel, and its acclaimed drivetrain and braking systems have evolved through motorsport experience.

“We are very confident about the success in Renault showrooms of the Clio Renault Sport 200 Cup”, Mr. Dunemann said
