BONDURANT CHAMPIONSHIP RACE SERIES COUNTS DOWN TO FINAL EVENT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Newcomer Lex Bernstein Perfect Example of Series' 'Arrive and Drive' Setup
CHANDLER, Ariz. - The Bondurant Championship Race Series heads into its final stretch
this month with three race weekends left in the season.  Seats are still available
as drivers prep to compete March 26-28 at Firebird International Raceway's East
Track; April 30-May 2 at the East Track; and May 22-23 on the Bondurant Track.
"The beauty of our Championship Race Series is the flexibility it allows drivers,
who can choose to sign up for a single race or the entire season," explains Alan
 Rudolph, vice president at the Bondurant School.  "In fact, we're more than half-way
through our race season and we're primed to have our biggest fields yet!  Everyone
from the novice to the expert racer can benefit from the extensive seat time and
 one-on-one instruction delivered at each and every race."
Recent newcomer Lex Bernstein is part of the growing list of Bondurant graduates
 who have moved on to the race series.  After completing the school's signature
4-Day Grand Prix Road Racing course last fall, Bernstein returned to Bondurant in
February and signed up on the spot for that weekend's race.
"I was excited to learn that I could still participate in the race series having
 not started at the beginning of the season," said Bernstein, a retired soccer-coach
trainer who lives in Idaho and commutes to the races.  "As someone not involved
in racing before, I am confident in the Bondurant team overseeing the management
 of the race - from maintenance on the cars to answering driver questions.  The
facilities are great, the other drivers are friendly and I've been impressed with
the Bondurant instructors."
Bernstein is currently restoring a 1962 Jaguar E-Type and is hoping to get involved
in vintage racing.
"My goal is to take the skills I learn from the Bondurant Championship Race Series
and spend the next decade competing in racing and fulfilling a dream I've had since
childhood," he continued.
As all of the participants prepare for their next race, current standings put California
karter Neil Alberico in first place after he swept the February race weekend and
 surpassed former points leader Jamie Slone in the first lead change of the season.
 Additional highlights from the Championship Race Series events - including action-packed
video footage from the racers' perspective on the track, driver profiles, race recaps
and more - can be seen at www.bondurant.com/championship-race-series by clicking
Bondurant's Championship Race Series, which is sanctioned by ASA Racing, includes
18 races over nine weekends during the 2009-2010 season.  The first place winner
 will receive a prize package valued at more than $35,000.  The runner-up will win
a prize package valued at $9,000 while the 3rd place race series winner will receive
a two-day Advanced Formula Car Racing Course worth $3,895 at the Bondurant School.
The race series is open to anyone 15 years or older that is a driver of "good standing"
with the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving.  Cost to participate in the
Championship Race Series is $3,495 per event, which includes car rental, instruction
and maintenance of the vehicle.  Participants bring their own safety equipment including
