TREBLE RIDES TO NO. 6 IN GAINESVILLE PSM QUALIFYING

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 13, 2010) - In his debut showing for Don Schumacher
Racing in the 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, Craig Treble rode
the Valvoline Motorcycle Oils Suzuki to No. 6 in qualifying for the 41st
annual NHRA Gatornationals.

He set his quickest lap of 6.888 seconds at 193.27 mph today in the final of
only three rounds of qualifying. Rain cancelled one of Friday's sessions.
His other laps were a 7.093/1889.10 (No. 10), and a 6.889/194.41 (No. 3).

³The weekend is going pretty darned good considering we never put the motor
on the dyno and we never ran down the track until we got here," said Treble
of the team that was put together quickly in order to make it to this
weekend's Pro Stock Motorcycle season-opener.

"The first pass was a crapshoot at best. We had no idea where to put this
Valvoline Suzuki with the new motor with 100ccıs. Steve (Tartaglia, crew
chief) has been working his butt of all weekend, last weekend and through
the last week getting motors ready. We didnıt get any parts until Friday and
Tuesday we had to fly a motor down here just so we could have a backup. Itıs
all come together in three weeks and itıs been a big mushroom cloud.

³My career best lap is a 6.885 (Houston 2009), and we ran that twice today,
so Iım tickled to death. Itıs an awesome machine that Don Schumacher has
here and weıve got an awesome crew chief and crew and itıs really thrilling.
I couldnıt ask for much more.

"I know thereıs more in it though. Itıs still a learning curve. Weıve got
three passes with this big motor setup and Iıve got three passes on this
motorcycle personally, ever. So, I'm really happy to qualify fifth with this
Valvoline Suzuki in my first race back with Don Schumacher.

³Race day is race day. Iıve won races from lower qualifying positions. I did
red light on that last hit, so that will be on my mind a little bit, but
hopefully Iıll do what I normally do and get by it and go a few rounds
tomorrow, preferably four.

"Iım just really thankful that Valvoline stepped up and Don Schumacher gave
me a chance to ride this thing. Iım excited for race day.²

Treble faces Michael Phillips in the first round of Sunday's eliminations.
