After about a month into his new role, the first thing he did was sign Ace Speedway up as an ASA Member Track. "We are going to change this thing around and ASA has given us a chance to retain our identity," Allen said regarding a new beginning for the track located in Elon, NC. "ASA has risen from the ashes to where they now have many tracks and series sanctioned by them. This was an opportunity to be with something that is on the rise. For ASA to show their interest in us, it is also a chance for us to prove something. Our story lines are similar and we are grateful for the opportunity to operate with a sanctioning body like ASA." Allen is also not afraid to boast about 4/10-mile oval and its facilities either, "It's one of the nicest facilities in the Southeast if not one of the top-five in the nation. There is nothing wrong with the track, the buildings or the bleachers. The concessions have won numerous awards and the track is in a prime location," Allen exclaimed. "Now we have a platform to change the whole outlay that we can offer our fans, competitors and our sponsorship partners by being with ASA." He also said that his competitors will appreciate the insurance coverage and notoriety that ASA will provide, "One of the questions from our competitors was what now?" Allen said. "They stand to benefit from the great insurance program and the prestige of having the opportunity to be on the same list of some of the past champions that ASA has." Most of all, it's an opportunity to take Ace Speedway to a higher level, "With ASA and what Dennis (Huth, ASA President) has to offer, it sets my mind at ease because I can draw on their experience and support to position Ace Speedway as one of ASA's premier tracks by 2011," Allen said. "It's nice to have that type of an organization on board with us." "We are proud to welcome Ace Speedway to the ASA family," Dennis Huth, ASA President said. "When you talk to Brad and listen to him, you hear the passion he has for the track and the goals he has set to make it successful. We are excited to work with him in achieving those goals and we look forward to the big things he has planned for 2010." Ace Speedway is a 4/10 mile paved oval with 12 degree banking in the corners, located in Alamance County, North Carolina, just off Hwy 87N above Elon University. Their Friday night weekly program features Late Models, Grand American Modifieds, Limited Sportsman, Mini-Stocks, and their X-Treme Car division which is an entry class that is basically a passenger car with a roll cage in it. Throughout the season they will have exhibition classes like Mini-Cups, Flat Head Fords, and Southern Ground Pounders. Touring divisions signed to compete at the track include the UARA late models, PASS Allstars, and Rolling Thunder Modifieds.
