MARTORELL, SPAIN – March 11, 2010: SEAT has confidence in education in Spain and has broadened its ties with learning institutions. The Spanish brand today signed a four-year collaboration agreement with the University of la Coruña to promote research programmes led jointly by SEAT personnel and researchers from la Coruña.

The agreement was signed today at the SEAT Design Centre in Martorell by the University of la Coruña Rector José Maria Barja and SEAT vice-president for Human Resources Ramón Paredes, who pointed out that “it is increasingly important for companies and universities to work together. Only by teaming up in a context of collaboration will we manage to make Spain a country of innovative companies and sustained employment.”

For the first joint project with the University of la Coruña, SEAT has given the green light to a car concept study involving 70 researchers and students of the prestigious Design College. The researchers have to submit their final proposals in July this year, and the two students whose proposals are considered the best will be rewarded with a training stage at the SEAT Design Centre.
