SAE International World Congress Ride-n-Drive Now Open to All Attendees

WARRENDALE, Pa., March 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Attendees to the 2010 SAE World Congress will have an opportunity to test drive some of the finest vehicles being produced today, including the 2010:

  --  Car of the Year;
  --  Truck of the Year; and
  --  Green Car of the Year.

In past years, the Ride-n-Drive was open only to journalists. This year, two days have been reserved for attendees to test the vehicles.

OEMs and suppliers participating in this year's Ride-n-Drive include the sponsor of the SAE 2010 World Congress, the Ford Motor Company, which will provide the Fusion Hybrid (Car of the Year), the Taurus SHO, and the Transit Connect (Truck of the Year).

Also participating are Borg Warner with the Audi A3 TDI (Green Car of the Year,) General Motors, Bosch and Magna.

The media Ride-n-Drive will be held April 13, from noon to 4 p.m. The Ride-n-Drive for all attendees will be held April 14-15, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Driving time will be limited to 15 minutes and participants can choose from a freeway route or an urban route. To participate in the Ride-n-Drive, registered media and attendees will need a valid driver's license and insurance card.
