TUESDAY: Maritz Automotive Research Group to Host Conference Call to Announce New Findings on the Effectiveness of the Cash for Clunkers Program

CARS program created significantly more incremental automobile sales than previously reported

ST. LOUIS, March 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, March 9, Maritz, a leading global provider of automotive research, will hold a press conference call to announce new research findings that reveal that the Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS) succeeded in creating significantly more incremental sales than previously estimated without negatively impacting future automotive sales. The survey of 36,000 new car buyers and lessees is the most comprehensive study of consumer response to the program.
