Lebanon Valley Releases 2010 Schedule

West Lebanon, NY: The management at what is fondly known as the Valley of Speed, nestled alongside NYS Route 20 in Upstate New York, has completed the final touches on the 2010 Schedule of Events for famed high banked dirt ¨ö mile oval.
Lebanon Valley Speedway has been sitting nearly idle for the good part of 5 months, but the staff and management team have been nothing but idle trying to prepare for the 58th Season Opener coming April 17th, 2010.
The upcoming Champions Weekend scheduled for March 12th and 13th, is the ¡°unofficial¡± start of the new season. As the teams and car owners scramble to make the final preparations on their new rides for 2010, the teams at the Valley of Speed have been busy making repairs, upgrades and new additions to Howard Commander¡¯s Lebanon Valley Speedway.
¡°As soon as the snow finally melts from these past storms, we will be ready to attack the speedway and prepare it for the first night of warm-ups scheduled for Saturday April 10th¡± explained Lyle Devore, track general manager.
The big events lined for the 58th season start with Opening Night on April 17th. L&M Motors and Heavy Hauler are throwing out a big $3,000 to win Modified Feature event along with the return of the Budget Sportsman Accord/LV 602 Chase.
Also on the schedule is the return of School Appreciation Month set for the month of May where students K-12 get into the Valley of Speed for FREE! May 22nd is set for the 1st Annual Dan Tag Memorial $3,000 to win Modified Feature presented by Sayer¡¯s Auto Wrecking and Adirondack Tire.
June brings a special KeyBank $4,000 to win Modified Feature and ¡°Dollar Dog Night¡±. The DMC Bubba Tanner Classic 23 lap Pro Stock feature returns on June 19th and Report Card Night on June 26th.
The Annual return of the crowd favorite ¡°Eve of Destruction¡± returns on June 29th . Featuring School Bus Races, Roll Over Contests, Trailer Racing, and much more, followed by the Most Unbelievable Fireworks 4th of July Celebration Imaginable¡± on Saturday July 3rd.
July 10th is set for a special night featuring the legendary NASCAR driver Ken Schrader¡¯s return to the high banks. ¡°Ken Schrader Night¡± will feature the wily veteran giving the Valley Boys a tough time as he did nearly 2o years ago. On July 17th marks the return of the Modified King of the Track Series.
Then the flood gates open for the annual return of the USHRA Monster Jam Summer Nationals set for July 19th, 20th, and 21st. July 25th also marks the return of the WoO Sprint Car Series including the 358 Modifieds.
August 14th brings in the Echo Prostock Series, while August 21st is set for the Northeast Vintage Mods along with the Budget Sportsman Accord/LV 602 Chase Series. But the big bills will be flying on Thursday August 26th as $17,500 is up for grabs for the Carquest Auto Parts, General Tire, and Budweiser Mr. DIRT Track U.S.A. 100 Lap DIRTCar Modified Series Race.
September 11th marks the Remember Our Heroes Night, as all Armed Forces, Firefighters, Police, and EMT¡¯s are honored by free admittance. ¡°The Fall Brawl 50¡± $1,000 to win 50 lap Budget Sportsman feature (602 only). That will also feature the final points for the Sportsman, Budget, Purestock and 4 cylinders series.
The 58th Season is locked and loaded for a full summer of action for every member of the family. The Valley of Speed is always a family friendly environment with giveaways, raffles, and prizes for all the ¡°Little Racers¡± in your family.
