Carbon Motors Begins Hiring
CONNERSVILLE, Ind.--As part of its ongoing efforts to combat Indiana’s unemployment rate, Carbon Motors Corporation announced today that it will host the 2010 Carbon Career & Information Day on Monday 05 April 2010 on the Carbon Campus located at One Carbon Motors Drive, Connersville, IN 47331. Details will be announced on Carbon’s web site (www.carbonmotors.com) as they become available. The Company stands ready to deliver on its commitment to create the 1,550 long-term jobs in Connersville, Indiana, and will be sharing its plans to do so.

The Carbon Career & Information Day will focus on the recruiting and hiring process that will ensure the Company effectively recruits and hires new Carbon Crew members with the job skills and competencies that match the Company's high tech needs in building the world’s first purpose-built law enforcement patrol vehicle. Carbon management will host two identical meetings to share its plans for the future staffing at the Carbon Campus. These sessions, held in advance of actual hiring, will focus on the positions, and the skills and competencies required to successfully compete for the future positions. Attendees will then be able to assess how their skills may align with Carbon Motors' requirements.
The Company is also pleased to announce it will begin interviewing for several advanced engineering and business process roles in areas such as vehicle engineering, production process engineering, supply chain development, marketing, career development and information technology. In early March 2010, these initial roles will be listed on the Carbon Motors' web site and posted in detail with our recruiting partner, WorkOne. Interested parties will be directed to apply at www.indianacareerconnect.com. The Carbon management team intends to interview qualified candidates for these advanced roles as soon as practical.

In the meantime, Carbon Motors is making good on its commitment to begin to put Hoosiers back to work by recruiting two of Indiana’s best. Lawrence R. Kennedy is joining Carbon as director ORCA™ technology and will report to Trevor J. Rudderham, executive vice president and chief development officer. Kennedy will have lead responsibility for the development of one of the most integrated, sophisticated, complex, and advanced electrical, electronic, automotive, law enforcement, and homeland security systems in the world. Carbon’s proprietary On-Board Rapid Command Architecture (ORCA™) will redefine the capabilities for law enforcement first responders and Kennedy will be leading the charge. Kennedy’s track record is impressive with more than 30 years of experience with Cadillac, OnStar, and Delphi.
David F. Jobe is joining Carbon Motors as campus operations associate, reporting to Alan J. Bratt, executive vice president and chief production officer. Jobe’s production experience spans more than 24 years in the areas of logistics, material handling, warehouse management and production supervision, most recently at Visteon.
Additionally, Carbon Motors is appointing Dalton W. Sprinkle as executive vice president and chief legal officer. Sprinkle previously served as outside legal counsel for the Company and has developed a wealth of experience representing companies across the spectrum of the corporate lifecycle, both as inside counsel and at law firms such as Skadden Arps and Morgan Lewis. He has significant and relevant experience in corporate securities, real estate, and energy-related matters. Most recently, Sprinkle served as senior vice president of business development and general counsel at Applied Solar, Inc., a publicly-traded solar company. Sprinkle will relocate from California to Indiana and will report to William Santana Li, chairman and chief executive officer.
In addition to Carbon’s newest team members, co-founder Stacy Dean Stephens was promoted to director communications after seven years of pure dedication and unwavering passion for Carbon’s efforts. As sales development manager, Stephens has gone beyond the call of duty on countless occasions through the years, and his service to the cause will never be forgotten. “Stacy’s unrelenting efforts since January 2003 has led to, and I am proud to announce, over 12,500 production slot reservations from 350 law enforcement agencies in 47 states, representing potential sales well in excess of $600 million. The significant market demand for the Carbon E7 is unquestioned,” remarked William Santana Li. Stephens will also report to William Santana Li, chairman and chief executive officer.
