Mazda's GLOBAL Production and Sales Results Show Impressive Growth

VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA – February 24, 2010: Mazda Motor Corporation has shown solid sales and production growth in January thanks to a strong global demand for the company’s impressive line-up of award-winning passenger cars.

Driven largely by the success of Mazda’s core passenger vehicle trifecta, Mazda2, Mazda3 and Mazda6, the Japanese manufacturer’s global production increased 114.6pc year-on-year.

In line with increased production volumes, Mazda has also seen increased sales volumes with exports being particularly strong. Export volumes grew by a massive 170.5pc year-on-year and although exports to all key regions recorded positive growth, this was driven largely by North America and Europe which recorded 209.3pc and 269.4pc year-on-year growth respectively.
