AutoZone Taps Alpha Bay for Enhanced Retail Information Technology

Engagement Concludes AutoZone's Search for the 'Perfect fit' Solution

SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 23 -- ALPHA BAY today announced a multi-year technology agreement with AutoZone. Under the agreement, Alpha Bay is providing retail computing functionality with its AIRSŪ Enterprise product. "AIRS enables a more productive, efficient, and collaborative workplace for AutoZone," remarks Alpha Bay's CEO and Founder, Jack Blount. "It will allow for the retirement of their legacy store software applications and potentially reduce their IT maintenance, driving significant cost savings throughout AutoZone's 4200+ stores and associated e-Commerce channels."

For more than two years, AutoZone evaluated build versus buy options for modernizing its retail computing environment. "Our goal was to further drive AutoZone's multi-channel growth, innovation, and industry leading customer experience by making use of state-of-the-art, robust, standardized technology," said Jon Bascom, CIO, AutoZone. "We found a partner in Alpha Bay. We have engaged them to help transform our store-based technology environment with their powerfully advanced solution for better business outcomes and to decrease our operating costs."

Alpha Bay provides a wide range of retail computing solutions that meet the diverse needs of all sectors of the retailing industry, including multi-channel/cross channel support, PCI compliance, workplace, networking, data center and security services, applications development and management, as well as customer relationship management and POS.
