MILTON KEYNES, UNITED KINGDOM – February 10, 2010: There’s a thrilling dash of motorsport action in the offing and a liberal sprinkling of romance in the air at Mercedes-Benz World right now.

The UK’s number one automotive brand experience centre, which is located at Brooklands, near Weybridge, Surrey, is laying on two very different – but equally appealing – attractions for the coming weeks.

The only thing worse than having to contend with bored kids during the school holidays, is watching them while away the hours sat idly in front of a computer screen. That’s why Mercedes-Benz World has put together an action-packed family day out for the half-term break – and best of all, entrance is completely free!

The Formula 1 Motorsport Exhibition runs from Saturday 13th – Sunday 21st February and promises a host of high-octane thrills with a ‘Powered by Mercedes-Benz’ theme, including the chance to sit in the cockpit and test your skills on the Grand Prix circuits of the world at the wheel of Brawn GP’s 2009 race car simulator.

Highlights include appearances by Lewis Hamilton’s 2007 Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 racer and the show car of the new MERCEDES GP PETRONAS team, formed following Daimler AG’s acquisition of last season’s World Championship-winning Brawn GP team.

Other amazing cars on show include the West McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 title winner from 1999, and with inspiration from the race track to the road there is a rare Mercedes CLK DTM and one of only six CLK GTR Roadsters ever made (and the only right hand drive version).

Climb aboard with a professional driver for an adrenalin-pumping passenger ride, available between 2pm and 3pm every day at a cost of just £15 per person – if you’ve never experienced it before, you’re sure to be astonished by the awesome power and handling of the latest high-performance Mercedes-AMG models.

There’s even a competition that challenges kids to design their Formula 1 car of the future; winning entries will be displayed at Mercedes-Benz World and uploaded to its website.

Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz World’s new Valentine’s ‘Dine & Drive’ promotion also includes a 10-minute passenger ride for two in a Mercedes-AMG car. But if you’re planning to cuddle up on the back seat be warned – you’re more likely to be hanging on with all you’ve got!

The pulse-quickening ride is in complete contrast to the relaxing two-course lunch with complimentary glass of wine that follows in Mercedes-Benz World’s sumptuous Gullwing Restaurant, overlooking the circuits. The Valentine’s ‘Dine & Drive’ package represents great value at just £40 for two people and is available until Sunday 14th February – bookings must be made in advance by calling 01932 373707.

Even without the driving experience, the Gullwing Restaurant is still a fabulous destination for a romantic lunch. It’s currently offering a beautifully presented Valentine Menu, while you’re sure to find the perfect gift for the one you love in the Mercedes-Benz World shop.

There’s a special offer, too, on Mercedes-Benz World AMG Driving Experiences – purchase before the end of March 2010 and you’ll save £20. To book a driving experience call 0870 4004000 or visit www.mercedes-benzworld.co.uk.
