Washington DC February 3, 2010; EPA, under the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA), is responsible for revising and implementing regulations to ensure that transportation fuel sold in the United States contains a minimum volume of renewable fuel. The Renewable Fuel Standard program will increase the required volumes of renewable fuel to 36 billion gallons by 2022.
