Force Hood on NHRA Teleconference today

NHRA MEDIA ADVISORY
WHAT: A Teleconference featuring Ashley Force Hood and Tony SchumacherWHEN: Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. ETWHY: To provide media with access to two of the championship-contending drivers who are competing in the 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Series.WHO: ·         TONY SCHUMACHER, U.S. Army Dragster (Top Fuel): Schumacher is in the midst of one of the most remarkable runs compiled by any driver in NHRA history – he enters the 2010 season with six straight Top Fuel championships (and seven overall). Schumacher’s most recent triumph, in 2009, might have been his most satisfying as the U.S. Army team persevered following the departure of Alan Johnson and with Mike Green making the tuning calls they defended their title by a scant two points over Johnson’s new Al-Anabi team with two-time champ Larry Dixon at the helm. What do Tony and Mike Green and the rest of the Army team have up their sleeve in 2010 to compete for an unprecedented seventh straight Top Fuel championship?·         ASHLEY FORCE HOOD, Castrol GTX Ford Mustang (Funny Car): The 26-year old daughter of NHRA icon John Force is quickly carving out her own niche in the NHRA Full Throttle Series as she’s steadily improved with sixth and second place finishes the last two seasons after her 10th place finish in her Rookie of the Year campaign in 2007. Force Hood was the first woman to win a race in a Funny Car (Atlanta, 2008) and she remains the only woman in NHRA Funny Car history to have led the point standings, a feat she accomplished in both 2008 and 2009.
