IDGA Announces Official Dates for its Second Annual Military Vehicles Expo
NEW YORK--The Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) announces the launch of its second annual Military Vehicles Exhibition & Conference scheduled for August 11 – 12, 2010 at the Cobo Convention Center in Detroit, MI.
“The greater Detroit area is a hub for military vehicle activity in the United States, and we are pleased to make Detroit the home of this event.”
The bar has been set high for IDGA’s Military Vehicles Expo that will be held for the second year in a row at Detroit’s Cobo Convention Center. As preparation begins for this year’s event, excitement is mounting: “We are thrilled to have the Military Vehicles Show return to Cobo Center in August 2010. The show’s ongoing success in Detroit speaks to the growth of the defense industry here, and the strength of having the right buyers in town,” Cheryl Ollila, Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The 2009 Military Vehicles Exhibition Floor featured 215 exhibiting companies in more than 200 booths. More than 3,000 attendees visited an exhibition floor that featured hands-on displays with 10 military vehicles, including Force Protection’s Cougar IS and the US Marine Corps LAV from USMC Program Manager’s Office – Light Armored Vehicle at TACOM.
The 2009 Military Vehicles VIP Club hosted more than 250 members, including qualified buyers from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Military Programs. VIP Club members enjoyed an exclusive VIP Club Lounge catered with food and beverages and an extended cocktail reception. The VIP Club Lounge also served as a quiet meeting area for members to conduct business transactions with the exhibiting companies.
“The military vehicles community continues to grow and deserves an annual, all encompassing home of its own. The Military Vehicles Exhibition and Conference is an expanded arena for information sharing, networking and showcasing products across all platforms,” explains Michael Gallo, Managing Director of IDGA Exhibitions. “The greater Detroit area is a hub for military vehicle activity in the United States, and we are pleased to make Detroit the home of this event.”
