The 2008 Rolex Rookie of the Year will join teammates Spencer Pumpelly, Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas, and 2000 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Bobby Labonte in the No. 71 Porsche GT3 997 fielded by TRG Motorsports. During the Roar Before the 24 test, George, Jr. and teammates had the highest average GT driver lap times, with Pumpelly posting the fastest lap time during the morning session on Saturday. With podium finishes in his two previous Rolex 24 starts, a third and second respectively, George Jr. hopes to capture his first Rolex 24 win. TRG Motorsports has won the endurance race three times, earning one overall win. The veteran sports car team has also claimed seven podium finishes in the last eight races. Tim George, Jr. was recently named as driver of the No. 31 RCR Development Chevrolet in the ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards. The New York City native is not scheduled to compete in any Rolex Sports Car Series races beyond the Rolex 24, focusing on the full 20-race schedule in ARCA. George, Jr. will kickoff the 2010 ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards season at Daytona International Speedway in the No. 31 RCR Development Chevy in the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 on February 6 at 4:30 PM EST.
