Glad’s Response to Automotive Repair Settlement
SACRAMENTO, Calif.--On Monday, January 25, 2010 Midas franchisee Mike Glad settled the actions with the State of California. In the interest of Glad’s 130 employees and other Midas dealers throughout the State, Glad decided to settle rather than continuing to incur the significant financial losses that resulted from the adverse publicity of the actions.
Glad remarked that “Over our thirty-three years and 6 days of business operations our greatest treasures were our loyal customers, business associates, employees and their communities. I am extremely proud of the young people we have helped either through on the job education, social programs and or scholarships. The public has always looked to us with respect. Thank-you.”
