Multiple Small Vehicles Operating on Natural Gas Were Successfully Tested by Government Officials

MANILA, Philippines - January 25, 2010: Energtek Inc., a world leader in the development of Adsorbed Natural Gas (ANG) technology, announced that the Philippine's Ministry of Transportation successfully completed a lengthy field trial of the company's CNG Lite system for small vehicles.

The trial was the most comprehensive road test to date for the company's alternative motor-fuel system, which is powered by proprietary ANG technology. The field trial began following Energtek's comprehensive demonstration of the CNG Lite system at Filipino Department of Energy's central offices in mid-2009.

The multiple-vehicle trial consisted of an extensive driving load over several months by government officials in Metro Manila. Successful completion of the trial was given as an important pre-condition for the official inclusion of three-wheeled vehicles in the Philippine's Natural Gas Vehicle Program for Public Transport (NGVPPT).

Vehicles included in the alternative energy program have been allocated natural gas from the Malampaya Offshore Natural Gas Reserve in Batangas, the nation's largest indigenous energy source.

Tricycles represent one of the most popular forms of transportation in the Philippines and there are millions of gasoline powered tricycles in the area of Metro Manila, contributing to dangerous pollution levels. The provision of gas through the NGVPPT program will allow the conversion of large numbers of tricycles to operate on Natural Gas, and can significantly reduce the nation's dependence on foreign oil.

Converting the vehicles to Natural Gas provides a substantial reduction in hazardous emissions and is cost-effective. CNG Lite(TM) is currently the only commercially-viable system that can be utilized for the mass conversions of tricycles in the Philippines.

"Completion of the lengthy field test proves the effectiveness of the CNG Lite(TM) conversion system and moves Energtek one step closer to our goal of converting massive numbers of tricycles in the Philippines," said Energtek CEO Lev Zaidenberg. "CNG Lite(TM) enables the use of cheaper and cleaner motor fuel that will benefit tricycle drivers economically, while contributing to local ecological improvement. Converting these vehicles to operate on natural gas provide benefits for the entire population."
