Below and attached is a press release outlining up and coming driver Hal Martin's plans to run at Daytona. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Hal Martin to Make First Run at Daytona

Daytona, FL: Hal "The Ragin' Cajun" Martin will make his debut in the 2010 ARCA Racing Series Presented by RE/MAX and Menards on February 6th at Daytona International Speedway. The Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 will kick-off the festivities at the legendary track, along with the NASCAR Budweiser Shootout All-Star Race and qualifying for the February 14th Daytona 500. Martin will pilot the #17 Dodge Charger for the Mark Gibson Racing Team.

"Being able to run at Daytona International Speedway in front of a crowd like that is a dream come true," said Martin.

Martin and Gibson have a strong history; Gibson was with Martin for all three of his ARCA races in 2009. They proved to be successful, finishing in the top twelve or better every race. The pinnacle of his rookie year was the race at Chicagoland where problems during qualifying forced Martin to start 33rd. "The Ragin' Cajun" charged through the entire field to take a third place finish, turning many heads in the racing world.

"We all feel like this is a really good fit," said Mark Gibson, owner of Mark Gibson Racing. "We think Hal has a lot of talent. When that kind of talent is combined with his background as a mechanical engineer, the combination spells success."

Gibson is no stranger to the ARCA series himself, making his debut in 1982, and has the 3rd highest number of starts in the series' history. Gibson also has starts in the three other major stock car series: NASCAR's Sprint Cup, Nationwide, and Camping World Truck series.

"I am thrilled to be able to work with Mark again. We were a great team in 2009. We communicated well and he understands my style of driving. Being able to test at Daytona in December allowed me to get a good feel for the track and will play a crucial role in preparing for the race in February," said Martin.

Martin laid down a top fifteen time during the test session in December at Daytona. The young driver will also be testing with Mark Gibson Racing on January 23rd at Talladega Superspeedway.
