JM Family Enterprises, Southeast Toyota Distributors & Toyota Join Relief Effort in Haiti with Combined $600,000 Donation
DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla.--In response to the recent devastation caused by Tuesday’s catastrophic earthquake, JM Family Enterprises, Inc. and Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC on Friday donated $100,000 to support the American Red Cross’s effort to bring aid to the people of Haiti. Additionally, Toyota announced a $500,000 donation that will be divided among the Red Cross, Save the Children and Doctors Without Borders.

According to reports, one in three Haitians, or more than three million residents, was directly impacted by this earthquake with an untold number of lives lost. It was even more damaging to the island nation because of the lack of infrastructure and high rates of poverty.
The Red Cross is already active in Haiti and well equipped to deal with catastrophes of this magnitude. Their vast network of volunteers and disaster relief specialists are dedicated to helping assess the damage, address urgent needs and establish the foundation for a long-term recovery operation.
