The winner and a friend will enjoy a magical vacation at the Walt Disney World® Resort that includes the opportunity to visit its four famous theme parks, two water parks, and the Downtown Disney® area. The finals of the Miss Free State 500 beauty contest will take place on Friday, January 29, 2010 at a gala banquet in Welkom, Free State, South Africa two days before the inaugural ASA Transcontinental Series Free State 500k stock car event at the Phakisa Freeway Circuit Oval on Sunday, January 31, 2010. The 2010 Miss Free State 500 will receive a trip to the United States for two and enjoy a visit to one of the more popular magical destinations in the World and stay at the stunning Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. "We are excited to team up with the ASA Transcontinental Series for this event and host the 2010 Miss Free State 500 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort," said Eric Opron, Director of Sales and Marketing. The 207 lap (500 km) event will feature a diverse group of drivers from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and South Africa competing in full size body stock cars. This will be the first time that American style stock cars will be competing on the oval and it will also be the first race event ever on the oval itself that was built in 1998.
