Tyrespot Goes Live with MAM Autopart
Respected UK tire dealer is now using MAM's Autopart management software to control its multi-branch wholesale and retail autocentre operations
SHEFFIELD, England, Jan 14 -- MAM Software Ltd. - a subsidiary of Aftersoft Group Inc. and a leading provider of business management software solutions - today announced that Tyrespot Ltd. is now using its Autopart management software to control its multi-branch tire wholesale and retail autocentre operations.
Tyrespot is a long established, well respected name among UK tire independents. It is one of the country's leading regional distribution companies, with ten locations across northeast England. The company's wholesale operation supplies tires from a stock of over 60,000 as well as batteries and exhausts, via an express delivery service.
Alan Tippin, Director and General Manager at Tyrespot says, "Our original aim was to convert our existing tire trade system to a full on-line solution to give us better business control. This changed once we were invited to look at MAM's Autopart software. We were immediately impressed by the strength and depth of the fully-integrated Windows software and were reassured by MAM's pedigree and its experience in the wider automotive aftermarket."
"MAM's initial understanding of our needs and subsequent handling of the implementation during and after the transition period has been outstanding," he continued. "The implementation team and their support colleagues at MAM have been extremely professional and have shown extraordinary dedication to their work. They have given us total confidence in the software and their ability to support our business."
MAM Software has also undertaken a number of enhancements for Tyrespot, including the development of new van routing and picking note routines, and the creation of a tailored suite of reports. "MAM has been very accommodating and has amended the software to suit our specific needs. They work on a 'right-first-time' basis and any issues that arose were resolved and then delivered promptly," said Alan.
Johnathon Shaw, the Director for Retail at Tyrespot continues - "Tyrespot is already reaping the benefits of its new Autopart software. We believe the software has greater functionality and is far more modern and flexible than our previous system. Its performance in a live-on-line infrastructure allows us to share real-time data distributed across the total company network, so we know what's happening up-to-the-minute. We have far more control over key areas such as stock movements, and are more efficient in our general operations."
Summing up in 'tire speak,' Managing Director, John Shaw observed, "The change to MAM has been a good one for us - similar to changing over from X-Ply to Radial tires."
Alan Tippin concludes, "It took us twenty years to get what we wanted from our previous system - MAM has achieved and exceeded that in just TWENTY DAYS. The software has already taken us to the next level. It's a great future-proof solution that we feel will continue to meet our needs over the coming years."
