CECO Environmental Secures Nine New Orders Totaling Approximately $8.4 Million

$6.4 Million of the Orders is for Equipment to Be Delivered to International Customers

CINCINNATI, Jan. 6 -- CECO Environmental Corp. , a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial ventilation systems, announced today that it has secured nine new contracts totaling approximately $8.4 million.

Rick Blum, President and Chief Operating Officer, stated, "These orders were secured by our equipment and contracting groups from clients in the chemical, refining, power, automotive, and cement industries. Four of the customers are in the United States while the others are in Korea, Mexico, Belgium, Venezuela, and Australia."

Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "We are very pleased to be starting 2010 with the continuing momentum of new orders which picked up in late 2009. In the U.S., we see increasing opportunities from the replacement of systems installed under the Clean Air Act of 1970 which now need to meet tighter standards. In addition, we are seeing more stringent enforcement of MACT (Maximum Achievable Control Technology) standards for hazardous air pollutants as applied under Title V of the Clean Air Act. The strong demand we are seeing internationally combined with the increasing opportunities in the U.S. from the aforementioned regulations and the improved economic environment provide optimism for this year and a return to strong operating results."
