Andrew Schafer Joins Verisae’s UK CRC Reporting Deployment Team

MINNEAPOLIS--Verisae announced today that Mr. Andrew Schafer has joined its EMEA team as Director of Sustainability Resource Planning (SRP). Andrew was previously a Senior Managing Consult in IBM's Energy and Environment team in the United Kingdom. He was IBM's global lead on carbon emissions management and carbon business case development.

Andrew was a subject matter expert on the UK's Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC). In addition to developing client facing CRC consulting offerings, he also led IBM's internal preparation and strategy development for the CRC. Mr. Schafer is a chartered accountant with significant experience in business strategy and carbon management consulting.

Mr. Schafer's immediate focus will be on launching Verisae's software offerings in support of UK organizations under compliance related to the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC). The CRC is a UK CO2 Cap and Trade scheme commencing on April 1st, 2010. It will affect approximately 5,000 organisations. Verisae will help distributed organisations meet the complex energy data management, reporting, and compliance requirements as well as manage the potential financial and reputation impacts that all participants may face.
