Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles Launches New Online Access to Motor Vehicle Records
TOPEKA, Kan.--Citizens and businesses now have easier access to view Kansas Motor Vehicle Records. The Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles partnered with Kansas.gov to launch an Instant Access online search for motor vehicle records at http://www.kansas.gov/mvr. Citizens and businesses now have 24/7 access to view and securely pay for motor vehicle records online.
The Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles has 2.2 million licensed drivers. The Driver Control Bureau processes nearly 26,000 paper and over-the-counter requests for motor vehicle records each year. By providing citizens and businesses the option to view motor vehicle records online, the department hopes to make these requests more convenient for the users and minimize the impact the paper and over-the-counter requests have on its staff.
Kansas.gov subscribers will continue to have full access to the current online motor vehicle records service. The new Instant Access service will be available to citizens and businesses on a pay-by-search basis for regular driver license records.
