Scott Waddell Named Vice President of Technology at iovation
PORTLAND, Ore.--iovation, provider of the world’s first device reputation service for preventing online fraud and abuse, today announced Scott Waddell as the company’s vice president of technology. Waddell brings nearly two decades of technology and security experience and will assume responsibility for iovation’s technology organization, including reputation technology data services, product development, architecture, information technology and quality assurance.

Waddell joined iovation as the director of research and development in April 2008, coming from Cisco, where he held a number of engineering, network security and research roles. He previously co-founded WheelGroup, a network security company that was later acquired by Cisco, and served as a charter member of the Air Force Information Warfare Center, pioneering tools and techniques for automated vulnerability assessment and incident response.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Yale University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and is co-inventor on four U.S. patents.
