Toyo Tires Selects Dawn Jaro as World Challenge Fan Focus Model Search Winner

TOPEKA, Dec. 22, 2009: From a field of more than 30 young women, Toyo Tires has selected Dawn Jaro, of Suwanee, Ga., as the 2009 World Challenge Fan Focus Model Search contest winner.

A joint promotion between Toyo Tires and Performance Auto and Sound Magazine, the Fan Focus Model Search accepts applications from aspiring young models looking for the chance to become an official World Challenge promotional model. From the hundreds of applicants, only three ladies are selected per event to work alongside World Challenge teams and fans. Following the conclusion of the racing season, the list is narrowed down to 10 women, from which Toyo Tires selects one lucky winner to receive a free Web site from ModelsDesired.com (a $599 value) and an interview with Toyo for a coveted promotional modeling contract.

Twenty-seven year old Jaro was selected as the top model of 2009. Jaro already had a great deal of experience as a promotional model at automotive events before her work with World Challenge at Road Atlanta. Staff and fans were impressed with her poise in the fast-paced track environment and photographers found her a natural in front of the camera.

“The Fan Focus Model Search always attracts an impressive field of modeling talent,” Toyo Tires Manager of Events and Motorsports Stan Chen said. “Selecting a winner gets harder every year, but we felt that Dawn’s credentials and the ease with which she adapted to each task handed her, gave her an edge.”
