NAIAS Backgrounders - Chevrolet, OnStar, Buick

The holiday season is upon us and the 2010 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) will also be here before we know it. To help make both events a bit smoother and stress-free, we would like to invite you to the following media background activities

-- CHEVROLET PRODUCT AND BRAND BRIEFING on Wednesday, December 16, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., in Detroit's historic Eastern Market. Jim Campbell, general manager of Chevrolet, and other company leaders will provide an overview on the Chevrolet brand and a backgrounder on future vehicles for North America. Please note that photography and videography will not be allowed at this event.

-- While at the Chevy Preview, you are also invited to make a donation to assist the family of our departed friend and colleague, Jan-Willem Vester. Sadly, J-W passed away last week after a courageous battle against an inoperable brain tumor. We will be collecting a monetary gift to help his family through this difficult time.

-- ONSTAR TECHNOLOGY PREVIEW on Thursday, December 17, 7:30 - 9:15 a.m. at the OnStar EV Lab. Come and meet OnStar's new President, Walt Dorfstatter, as he previews OnStar's latest customer-focused features to be unveiled at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January in Las Vegas.

-- BUICK GMC PRODUCT PREVIEW on Thursday, December 17, 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the MGM Grand Hotel ballroom. Buick GMC will give an advanced look at the concept and production debuts that Buick and GMC have planned for NAIAS. Designers, engineers and marketing executives to host.
