Kia Motors America Announces November 2009 Sales
IRVINE, CA -: Kia Motors America (KMA) today announced November sales of 17,955 units, an 18.3-percent increase over the same month last year. Year to date sales totaled 279,015, a 7.8-percent increase over the same period last year. KMA's growing lineup of distinctly styled new vehicles - including Soul, Forte and Forte Koup - accounted for 36 percent of the monthly sales volume, a five-percent increase over the previous month. Overall, small car sales delivered more than 55 percent of November volume.
Kia Motors is in the midst of a dramatic, design-led transformation, which has been delivering dynamically styled vehicles in several important segments at exactly the right time contributing to the brand's continued gains in U.S. market share. The upcoming launch of the all-new 2011 Sorento CUV, the official vehicle of the NBA and the first vehicle to be built at the company's first U.S.-based manufacturing facilities in West Point, Georgia, will further enhance the lineup.
