One-Time Driving Record Search Now Available Online in Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb.--The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is offering citizens of Nebraska the opportunity to go online to obtain their driving record. The requests for driving records continue to increase on an annual basis. The DMV currently handles 15,000 in office requests annually for individuals needing a copy of their OWN driving record and who are not currently Nebraska.gov subscribers.

The DMV currently offers an online Driver’s License Search for individuals and businesses who are subscribers with Nebraska.gov. In addition to the service above, the DMV worked with Nebraska.gov in building an online search that does not involve a subscription.

The new online search will be for individuals needing a copy of their own driving record. To get the record, users will need to enter their Name, Driver’s License Number or Social Security Number, and Date of Birth. In order for the user to receive their record, all search criteria have to match.

“Often when customers need access to their driving record, they need it immediately,” said Beverly Neth, Director of the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles. “We’re excited to offer yet another DMV online service that brings that level of convenience to our citizens.”

The Driver’s License Record Search is available on both the Nebraska.gov site and the Click DMV site, http://www.clickdmv.ne.gov. In addition to this service, the Web sites also feature DMV applications such as License Plate Renewal, ordering Specialty Plates, Driver License Reinstatements, as well as other services.
