Green Bridge Technologies International, Inc. Subsidiary Expands Application of Its Multiple Vortexes Technology
Technology May Revolutionize Muffler Design for Internal Combustion Engines
LINDEN, Mich., Dec. 10 -- Green Bridge Technologies International, Inc. (Pink Sheets: GRBT), announced today that the Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Vapor Technologies has tested 6 prototype muffler systems that utilize its multiple encapsulated vortexes technology on its diesel engine test cell. These tests take the basic technology being developed for fuel vaporization and apply it to the exhaust stage of the internal combustion engine. The tests were conducted at the Company's Auburn, MI laboratory.
The unique encapsulated vortexes muffler design provided significantly better sound attenuation of the exhaust stream than the stock muffler. Additionally the prototype muffler is smaller, lighter and will be considerably less expensive to manufacture than a conventional muffler. This proprietary design also recorded lower back pressure than the stock muffler, which should aid in the overall increase of engine efficiency, performance and power output.
Currently tests are being conducted on a gasoline powered vehicle. Initial results show increased power with reduced sound levels under steady state operation and a pleasing tone during acceleration.
The muffler market includes the 250 million vehicles on the road in the US today and this number increases on average by 4 million per year. Worldwide vehicle production this year has exceeded 48.7 million cars and over 6 million commercial vehicles, heavy trucks, buses and coaches.
"I was astounded that replacing the stock muffler with the prototype design attenuated the sound of our diesel test engine to a point where normal conversation was possible just a few feet from the exhaust outlet," stated Leonard Baxter, CEO and President of Green Bridge Technologies International, Inc. "We are also currently testing our prototypes on gas engine vehicles and working towards a production design that we can introduce to the automotive and truck market for both OEM and aftermarket sales sometime in 2010".
