Magnalight.com Adds Emergency Ballasts to Explosion Proof and Hazardous Location Lights
Magnalight.com adds a full range of emergency ballast equipped explosion proof lights and emergency ballast equipped hazardous location lights. Featuring a standard 90 minutes of run time and 900 lumens of light output, the Magnalight lines of explosion proof fluorescent lights with emergency ballast includes 2 foot and 4 foot versions which can be pendant, surface or cart mounted.
Larson Electronics’ magnalight.com announced the addition of several new http://www.magnalight.com/c-154-explosion-proof-lights.aspx [explosion proof lights] and http://www.magnalight.com/c-163-hazardous-location-area-lights.aspx [hazardous location lights] with emergency ballasts. The emergency ballast provides 90 minutes run time at 900 lumens of light output when the power is cut to the light fixture. The EPL-EMG-48-4L is the 4 foot long, 4 lamp explosion proof light with emergency ballast and the EPL-EMG-48-2L is a foot long, 2 lamp explosion proof light with emergency ballast. Typically, the emergency ballast explosion proof lights are equipped with T8 or T12HO bulbs. For an additional cost, the explosion proof light with emergency ballast can be equipped with T5HO bulbs. The hazardous location, Class 1 Division 2 lights, including the HAL-EMG-48-2L with its aluminum housing and the HALP-EMG-48-2L with its polyester blend housing are also equipped with an emergency ballast for 90 minutes run time. The stainless steel HALSS-EMG-48-2L is also equipped with an emergency ballast. 2 foot versions of these lights are available now as well. The hazardous location lights can be configured with multiple ballasts for longer run times or higher lumen output.
“We are getting more demand for emergency ballast equipped explosion proof lights and hazardous location lights,?? said Rob Bresnahan with magnalight.com. “For a small incremental cost, operators can meet the requirements for UL 844 Class 1 Division 1 or Class 1 Division 2 emergency lighting, while still having a fully functional light fixture for daily operational use. It makes a lot more sense than purchasing and installing separate explosion proof lights. Plus these UL 844 Class 1 Division 1 and Division 2 fixtures offer a wide range of housings, ranging from lightweight polyester blends to heavy duty cast aluminum and non-corrosive stainless steel to meet most every operational requirement and budget. In addition, we can configure these lights for surface mount, pendant mount and even mobile cart mounted applications. Finally, we offer T8, T12HO and T5HO bulbs and in custom applications, we offer 110 watt VHO or UV bulbs. “
