The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) will host an educational webinar on how biotechnology can help industries around the world reduce greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 2.5 billion tons each year, according to a recent WWF report. Innovative biotech companies are forming international partnerships to deploy the industrial biotechnology applications for diverse industries, including biofuels production, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and textile finishing. Climate friendly products made with biotechnology – including carpets – have been chosen by UN organizers for use at COP15 venues in Copenhagen. | |
