Capitol Auto Group continues backing Bailey SALEM, Ore. (Nov. 23) -- Capitol Auto Group will support Rich Bailey’s Top Alcohol Dragster team in 2010, stretching the sponsorship to 10 years. Bailey attributes the long-standing partnership to his full-time effort in promoting the Salem, Ore,-based auto dealership. "When I first received this sponsorship I never thought I would get another opportunity like it again so I made sure to over-deliver on exposure and put marketing ahead of everything else," Bailey said. "Marketing means getting the car out in front of as many people as possible and being a good representative for the company. "In the last few years it became noticeable that the racecar has become a big part of the Capitol brand as the car is often seen at major local events and has become part of the Salem landscape. The car is always on display or at a parade if not racing during the summer months and the team allows kids to sit in the car making it one of the most photographed and remembered racecars based in Oregon." In celebration of the decade-long partnership with Capitol, the team will display a "Decade of Speed" theme on the dragster as well as specially-designed retro T-shirts and autograph cards to mark the occasion.
