Bandolero, Legends and Allison Legacy Race
Champions Crowned at The Rock

Racing Returning Sunday on the Infield Road Course

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. (Nov. 14, 2009) – Saturday was a full day of racing
at the Rockingham Speedway with drivers making left and right hand
turns as Bandolero, Legends and the Allison Legacy Series took to the
infield road course at the track.

“We couldn’t have asked for better weather or better racing today,”
said Rockingham Speedway President Andy Hillenburg. “Tomorrow (Nov.
15) should be even better with nicer weather and another full slate of
Bandolero and Legends racing on tap.”

In Bandolero action, Tyler Hill overcame a last lap spin in turn two
while battling to maintain the lead when Austin Langenstein, who
assumed the lead with the spin, himself spun coming off the banking of
the speedway, to take the Young Gun main event. Langenstein righted
his car to come home second. Grayson Massey outdueled Carson Ferguson
to win the Bandits feature.

In Legends action, Austin Leitner held off Time HIll and Jake Morris
to take the Young Lions feature win. Kyle Pierce drove his Tilley
Harley Davidson-sponsored machine to victory over second-place Kinzie
Ruston in Semi-Pro competition. Eddie Harwell crossed the finish line
nearly seven seconds ahead of Jackie Ryan to take the Masters main
event.

The Bandoleros and Legends cars return to the track with practice
beginning at 10 AM Sunday. Heat races are slated to roll off at 12:30
PM with main events in each division to follow.

In Allison Legacy Series action, Justin Allison and Timmy Hill took
turns stalking each other around the three-quarter mile road course
for the first two-thirds of the 30-lap feature before Hill slid in
front of Allison coming off the speedway banking on lap 20. Hill then
held off a hard-charging Allison to extend his series points lead with
one race remaining in the 2009 season. Allison came home second with
Tyler Speer, Paul Beckner and Garrett Bunch rounding out the top-five.

Racing returns to the one-mile Rockingham Speedway at high noon on
January 1, 2010 with the second running of the Polar Bear 150 Frank
Kimmel Street Stock Nationals race. Tickets are $20 for adults, with
children under 12 admitted for $5 and no admission for children under
three. For more information or to order tickets, please contact the
speedway at (910) 205-8800 or visit our website at www.rockinghamspeedway.com
