Line Moves Up to Fifth on Friday in Pomona

On the surface, it would seem that Jason Line and his Summit Racing team had a productive day on Friday at the Auto Club NHRA Finals.  After all, they shaved over two hundredths of a second from their opening attempt, with their 6.630-second, 208.91 mph pass moving them up to the fifth position entering Saturday’s final two attempts.  Although pleased with this improvement, Line viewed the effort as simply the first step.
 
“This Summit Racing team made a move in the right direction today, but we still have to step it up tomorrow,�?? said Line.  “For example, it sixty-footed okay, but after that it definitely had room for improvement.  Still, there should hopefully be something we can learn from this run that will make us better tomorrow.  We need to get the car hooked up better than it is right now, so we can move higher up the starting order for Sunday.�??
